We hope that you had a good experience as you logged in to check your final grades of the semester. The end of the fall semester usually provides a great opportunity for you to reflect back three months, see the highs & the lows, then think & plan toward what you want to change for the spring. Evaluation & examination (when done honestly) can set you up for making (& hopefully maintaining) some great resolutions as we begin 2018. One resolution that I believe we can all make is to be more consistent & intentional as we invest time in our relationship with the Lord & prepare ourselves for spiritual growth.
To that end, we want to help & challenge you to begin that process with us over the break. We’ve compiled some resources to help with this that you will find below. We are going to begin reading in the book of 1 John. This book has helped many people understand & be assured of their faith in Jesus. It challenges us to fight & shed patterns of sin so that we can live for Jesus & not for the world. We pray that you will commit to investing in time with God’s Word. That you will see the responsibility & opportunity each of us have in making our lives ready for the Holy Spirit to bring change in us. There’s no better time to start than now…so let’s go!
